Patient Support

The primary mission of the Mid-Shore Pancreatic Cancer Foundation is support for pancreatic cancer patients and their families. That support can take many forms. Here are some examples of things we have done to support patients.

> Helped a pancreatic cancer patient move from her apartment to her son’s home where
care was available 24/7.
> Paid for a caregiver to come in an relieve the spouse caregiver.
> Repaired a vehicle so a pancreatic cancer patient could get to treatments.
> Paid for chemo medications.
> Helped a long-term pancreatic cancer survivor get a new set of false teeth.
> Built a wheelchair ramp for a pancreatic cancer patient.

These are just examples. Contact us with your situation and we will do our best to help. Email support@midshorepancan.org or call 410-745-9243

Information:
A pancreatic cancer diagnosis can be overwhelming. It’s hard to know where to turn to get
accurate information. We have the experience to help you get information and answers to your
questions.

Transportation:
Pancreatic cancer treatment often involves frequent doctor visits and travel to treatment
centers, perhaps outside the area. If you have exhausted your transportation options, we will
help arrange transportation for you and your family.

Financial Assistance:
Few people are prepared for the costs associated with fighting cancer. On a case by case basis
and available funds, we can help with things like travel expenses for treatment and other
necessary living costs.

Hope and Encouragement:
There is always Hope. Sometimes you may need someone to talk to who has been through a
cancer battle or someone to sit with you when you are having a treatment. We are here to
provide hope and support, whatever we can do.
